SUSTAINABILITY

OUR FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE IN ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PARTS OF CHESHIRE AND WE WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.
THAT’S WHY WE’RE ASKING ALL OF OUR FESTIVAL GOERS TO SIGN THE FOLLOWING PLEDGE…

LEAVE NOTHING BUT MEMORIES
Leave your areas tidy and take your belongings home with you

PROTECT THE WILDLIFE
Throw your rubbish in the bin

CONSIDER YOUR TRAVEL
Use public transport and car share where possible!

ONLY BRING WHAT YOU NEED
Use resources consciously

MAKE ECO CONSCIOUS CHOICES
Keep your green impact in mind when at the festival

Water
The sale of single use plastic is banned on site so all water served will be in cups or recyclable cans.
We will be giving out free refillable water bottles, thanks to our partners and you’ll be able to take these home at the end of the weekend! Feel free to bring your own for an even better impact.
We have more free drinking water points which are even easier to find, with clear signage.
Energy & Equipment
We have created a generator schedule to reduce the amount of diesel used across site to make energy consumption even more efficient.
Our new festival wide power-off policy on all non essential equipment such as trader lights means we save energy and reduce carbon emissions across the festival.
As part of our commitment and along with your support we will continue to donate to the development of renewable energy projects across the globe through our carbon offset payments.
The decor team will be focused on upcycling reclaimed and recycled materials to turn them into elements of decoration throughout the festival rather then using brand new products, both creating a more sustainable event and reducing our carbon emissions through using materials as part of a circular economy.
All 9km of festoon lighting used around the festival are LEDs, reducing our energy consumption by up to 90% compared to non LED bulbs.
