The Brit Fest is thrilled to announce not one, but two major award nominations that recognise its growing impact as one of the North West’s leading cultural events.
The festival has once again been shortlisted for Leading Live Event of the Year at the prestigious This is Manchester Awards 2025, with winners set to be revealed at a glittering gala ceremony this November. In addition, The Brit Fest Cheshire has also been named a finalist for Best Event/Festival in the Visit Cheshire Tourism Awards 2025/26 – a significant accolade that highlights the festival’s vital role in shaping the region’s tourism and leisure offering.
These latest nominations add to an already impressive track record of recognition since the festival’s inaugural edition in 2024. The Brit Fest was previously shortlisted for both Best New Festival and Best Medium Festival at the UK Festival Awards, received the High Sheriff’s Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Community Contribution, and saw its founding directors Edward and Anthony Prophet formally honoured by Altrincham Court Leet. Earlier this year, Great British Festivals Ltd was also named Manchester & North West England New Events Company of the Year 2025/26 at the Prestige Awards.
Festival Director Edward Prophet said:
“To receive nominations both in Manchester and Cheshire is incredibly special. It underlines that The Brit Fest is not just a local success story, but a major cultural highlight for the wider region.”
Commercial Director Anthony Prophet added:
“These awards reflect the significance of The Brit Fest in driving leisure and tourism across both Cheshire and Greater Manchester. With easy transport links and thousands of visitors travelling to Ashley Hall Showground from right across the region, the festival has become a powerful platform for local culture, business, and community. To be recognised at this level makes us very proud – and very excited for the future.”
